I think my brain just stopped working properly looking at these pictures and I can think of only one thing: I’m soooo jealous! Eat something good for me too please!
Sorry to make your brain malfunction but I’ll take it as a compliment. Thanks Sara!
Oh, my gosh, Angi. You captured some very nice pictures of your food-ventures in Paris. It’s making me miss it. The Eiffel Tower in lights is simply amazing, too.
Merry Christmas to you!
Merry Christmas, Jean! It only took me a month to finally post up these photos, so I figure I better deliver. ;)
Oh, Angi… this is such a lovely reminiscent post! I had a good time in Paris but, I was only 17 so, I’d like to go back now and enjoy and appreciate it even better :-) By the way, the dude (dark hair) underneath the glasses in the L’Avant Comptoir picture is quite attractive! Thank you for sharing the lovely photos and memories!
Yes, you must go back and enjoy Paris for all its foodie glories. Just compiling this post makes me want to go back now too. Thanks Hester!
You’re hurting me.
I think I also hurt myself a little bit.
My jaws actually dropped, my husband had to tell me to shut my mouth. lol.
Christine, you’re so funny. Thanks for the compliment!
I recognize that hand pose in the meat goods pic #1…
It would seem that the pinch-gimme claw runs in the family… (those are my sis’ hands)
wow!!! can it get better than this??? loved this post :)
Thanks Rajani!
Hmm. Gorgeous food, cute guy, Paris.
No more words …
Indeed, Emma. Indeed. Thanks for reading!
What a delightful surprise to find in my reader this morning. GORGEOUS photography!
Glad to be part of your morning – thanks Elizabeth! :)
Wow, I want to try all of that! What beautiful food!
I want to try all of that again too! Thanks Alayna!
I am so ashamed of myself for not visiting Paris more, despite only being a Eurostar ride away. This post, however, has inspired me to go back, and very soon!
Beautiful stuff. Glad you finally posted this!
Jax x
Indeed you have no excuse, young lady – get on this! :) When you’re there, please eat an extra canele for me. I heart those things.
We were there in July sans kids! Can’t wait to go back!
That sounds so fun, Amy! (Not that I mean your kids are not fun…. well, I hope you know what I mean)
O, lucky you! The photographs are breath-taking, and make me long to be a jet-setter, just so I can fly off to Paris a.s.a.p…
I would have to pick up a canelle as soon as I arrived, your third photograph makes me long for me.
Oh, you and I would get along so well, Joyti. I’m so completely addicted to caneles that I even bought a little pastry book that has a cannele recipe in it, just in case I feel like tackling it later. The funny thing is that the book is in French and last I check, I don’t speak/read French. I refuse to let that little obstacle stop me though! :)
stop making me jealous, angi. it’s just not fair. and these are proper sized photos ;)
Yay! I’m glad I pass the BB-photo-sizing test! :)
I wish I were in Paris right now. Or at least soon. It looks like you had a fabulous, delicious time :)
Indeed it was both fabulous and delicious. Thanks for reading Azmina! :)
This TOTALLY made me miss Paris! When I came back from Paris, I immediately posted an ad on Craigslist to barter… food for French lessons and started looking up jobs in the 6th! LOL! I am totally serious! The food got me HOOKED! I am not sure if you’re still there, BUT if you are I recommend Ave Maria (in Oberkampf) … it’s Brazilian French fusion and has a funky, super fun atmosphere!
Thanks Tiffany (or is it Keyla?)! I’m unfortunately no longer there but like you, I’m trying to plot when I can go back. Paris is seriously addictive! :)
And thank you for sharing. I must go back, like now.
Can I come with you, Lisa? :)
Saw you over on your interview, lovely lovely lovely blog. I like your style.
Welcome and thanks for visiting, Jennifurla!
So glad you had a good time! I used to live right around the corner from Le Chateaubriand and the one meal I had there was excellent. I have to say, though, that Chez Marianne is by far my least favorite falafel on rue des Rosiers. For me it’s a tie between L’As and the one just past Marianne that serves the humongous, greasy (in a good way) slices of eggplant on their falafels. If it came down to a count, I’ve probably been to L’As more times, despite the wait, which says something.
I now have a vision of you where Le Chateaubriand was your neighborhood place, Camille-so jealous! :) As for Chez Marianne, the falafel was pretty good but I think you’re right that people should go for L’As (or the other place? I didn’t even know there’s a third falafel place there!). My sister and I trekked over to Jewish quarter in the hopes of going to L’As but we got there too late and they had already closed for the day. Chez Marianne was the only falafel place open. :(
Someday I’ll get to experience Paris, too. But for now I’m ogling your beautiful photographs. Have a wonderful holiday, Angi. Enjoy your trip to Hongkong! And see you in the New Year!
Thanks Jun! I hope you have a wonderful New Years and hope to see more of you in 2011!
